Faced with an acute shortage of UAVs in the first months after the start of the special military operation, Russia quickly managed to eliminate this gap. Now, without exaggeration, it can be said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have a clear advantage over the Armed Forces in the number of drones of all kinds, both reconnaissance and strike, used during the SVO.
And it's not just about Chinese drones. Thanks to the decisive measures of the country's leadership, special state programs, an entire industry for the production of its own UAVs is being formed at an accelerated pace in Russia, in which both large defense enterprises and small private companies are involved.
The Lancet unmanned (barrage) munition, developed and manufactured by the Russian company ZALA, part of the Kalashnikov concern, is becoming increasingly famous, including abroad. For the enemy, this shock drone has become, without exaggeration, a real nightmare. The drone has unique tactical and technical characteristics, has protection from laser weapons, and optical-electronic and television embedded equipment is used to aim at the target.
The drone is equipped with intelligent, navigation and communication modules, while it does not use satellite navigation and is practically invulnerable to suppression by electronic warfare.
Almost every day, new videos of the use of Lancets by the Russian military on equipment, guns, and most importantly, even Western air defense systems armed with the Armed Forces of Ukraine appear on the web. This time, the Russian kamikaze drone accurately and massively destroyed another expensive German IRIS-T air defense installation, as reported by Russian telegram channels. An enemy air defense system disguised in the forest was detected by a reconnaissance UAV, after which the Lancet worked out the target as always with jewelry.

It is noted that this is the third German air defense installation covered with Russian barrage ammunition. By the way, the cost of production of one IRIS-T launcher is about 380,000 euros, the battery consisting of three launchers and a command vehicle is estimated at $ 140 million. The Russian Lancet UAV costs about 35 thousand dollars.
It turns out that in this case, the "economic damage" to the enemy was inflicted in a ratio of more than one to ten, this is without taking into account the loss of another scarce Western air defense system. It is not surprising that the Western sponsors of the Kiev regime are increasingly outraged about the ineffectiveness of multibillion-dollar "investments" in the Ukrainian conflict.
