Unitree Go2
The Chinese company Unitree has announced the start of sales of the Go2 robot. The robot can become not just a toy, but also a companion during sports runs. Its capabilities allow you to reach speeds of up to 9 km / h in the standard version or up to 12.6 km / h in the Pro version, which corresponds to a contentedly brisk pace of running. The robot itself weighs only 15 kilograms, and its height does not exceed 40 centimeters. At the same time, it is not entirely clear where the robot's nose is and where its tail is.
The developers claim the excellent technical equipment of the Go2, which includes not only an ultra-wide-angle lidar, but also high-resolution cameras. By processing the information coming from them, the robot shows the wonders of orientation even in completely unfamiliar terrain. The robot successfully bypasses obstacles and can overcome difficult areas — for example, it costs nothing to go down or climb stairs. Design features and new engines allow him to perform such incredible tricks as flips, intricate dances and complex jumps.

In the Pro version, I found an implementation and a speech engine with GPT support. This will allow a person to conduct dialogues with a robot in a natural language for himself. The robot tries to interpret the user's actions and seeks to help him. At the same time, against the background of an analog from Boston Dynamics, Go2 looks quite affordable. For the budget version of the robops, the company asks for $ 1600, and for the Pro version — $ 2800. For a fee, you can buy a controller, a manipulator arm and other additional equipment that expands the functionality of the robot.
