Rheinmetall Group intends to protect the new plant in Ukraine from Russian missiles with air defense systems of its own production. This statement was made by the head of the concern Armin Papperger.
The concern reacted to the statement made the day before by the Russian Foreign Ministry that a military production plant built on the territory of Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russian missiles. According to Papperger, this will not stop the concern from plans to launch the plant, the Germans will not refuse, and the protection of the enterprise will be organized independently, with the help of air defense systems produced by the concern.

Earlier, Papperger confirmed that he intends to open a new plant on the territory of Ukraine and produce a wide range of military products, ranging from ammunition to armored vehicles, including the latest KF51 Panther tanks. Previously, the company is planned to be located in Transcarpathia, near the village of Chernotisov. Earthworks have been carried out there for a month.
Recall that on the eve of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, speaking about Rheinmetall's plans to build a military plant in Ukraine, confirmed that it would become a legitimate target for the Russian army.
