Today, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov signed a memorandum on the creation of a coalition to train Ukrainian military pilots on American-made F-16 fighters. This is reported by the Ukrainian press.
A number of Western states gathered to participate in the training of Ukrainian military pilots. Actually, this was known much earlier, but until now there was no official document providing for the creation of a "fighter coalition". Now the agreement between the heads of the military departments of Western countries has been drawn up in writing and signed by the defense ministers.
The coalition for the training of Ukrainian military pilots included Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Sweden. All of these countries undertake to create conditions for the training of Ukrainian military pilots and train technical personnel to service American-made fighters.
The Danish Ministry of Defense reported that the Western coalition will begin training Ukrainian pilots on American-made aircraft at the end of this summer. Instructors from the listed states will provide training, it is possible that American specialists will also join.
At the same time, the question remains open when exactly Ukraine will receive American fighters, and whether it will receive them at all, especially if the AFU counteroffensive does not demonstrate achievements that could be assessed by the West as a "success" of the Kiev regime.
