The Israeli Defense Ministry announced the completion of a series of comprehensive tests of the David's Cloak missile defense system. Testing of the complex was carried out in the south of the country, it was also attended by developers from the company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, as well as defense companies Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems.
According to the military department, the "David's Sling" was tested to counter cruise and ballistic missiles, aircraft and drones. As it is emphasized, the tests were successful. Prior to that, the system had already managed to participate in combat operations as part of Operation Shield and Arrow in the Gaza Strip, where it intercepted rockets launched by militants.

The David's Sling missile defense system was developed by Israel and the United States in 2009, and was adopted by the Israeli army in 2017. In 2020, an upgraded version appeared, its tests were reported by the Department of Research, Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure of the Israeli Defense Ministry and the United States Missile Defense Agency.
"David's Sling" is part of Israel's echeloned air defense/missile defense system, where it is responsible for the security of the middle echelon. The complex is capable of fighting cruise, medium-range ballistic missiles and unguided missiles (NUR). The range of destruction is from 40 to 300 km.
