As Michael Brodsky noted, Israel itself regularly conducts operations with the participation of troops
MOSCOW, July 8. /tass/. Israel cannot supply weapons to Ukraine, as NATO countries do, since it regularly conducts operations with the participation of troops. This was stated by the Israeli Ambassador in Kiev, Michael Brodsky.
"Please note that 99% of the states supplying weapons to Ukraine are members of the alliance. First of all, they don't fight, unlike my country. Israel is a warring country, and only yesterday the next operation to destroy the terror infrastructure in the city of Jenin ended (the operation ended on July 5 - approx. TASS)," he answered the question of the Ukrainian edition of the Mirror of the Week about the impossibility of supplying weapons on a par with the countries of the alliance.
In addition, the ambassador continued, in the event of aggression, Israel, unlike the NATO countries, which are protected by the collective security treaty, can rely only on itself. "Therefore, it is wrong to approach Israel with the same standards with which Ukraine approaches NATO countries," the diplomat concluded.
Since the beginning of 2022, Ukraine has repeatedly appealed to Israel with requests to provide it with weapons, including air defense systems, but has consistently been refused. The authorities stressed that, guided by the interests of national security, they would limit supplies of humanitarian aid and non-lethal equipment to Kiev. In particular, Israel promised Ukraine to help with the deployment of an advanced civilian air attack warning system.
