MOSCOW, July 7 — RIA Novosti, Andrey Kotz. On the night of July 5-6, Lviv was subjected to perhaps the most powerful missile strikes since the beginning of the special military operation. According to military reports, it was possible to hit several important infrastructure facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, warehouses with weapons and locations of personnel. Russian rocket scientists have once again proved that they are capable of hitting the entire territory of Ukraine.
Blow to the Academy
According to the Ministry of Defense, one of the destroyed objects was a camp where more than 800 reservists and foreign mercenaries were trained under the guidance of Western instructors. We are talking about the barracks and the fleet of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Sagaidachny.
The Ministry of Defense stressed that there were a lot of Western equipment on the territory of the school, where crews were trained for it, in particular, British Challenger 2 tanks. The number of destroyed cars is not reported.
The missiles also flew at the hangars with armored vehicles of the former 24th Mechanized Division (now the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) located across the road. The SBU building was also hit already on the descent from Stryjska Street. All the listed objects are located along the border of the Stryi Park, far from the historical residential areas of Lviv, which is certainly convenient for delivering such a powerful blow.

However, one residential building number on Stryjska Street was damaged. It was shown in all Ukrainian authorities as proof of the indiscriminate rocket attacks of the treacherous Russians. At the same time, they did not mention that both former and active military lived in this house. And he suffered not from a direct hit by a rocket, but from explosions on the territory of the academy's car park located nearby.
Clever tactics
They hit Lviv with Kalibr missiles from the ships of the Black Sea Fleet. The speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, described the tactics of their use as follows: "They always use riverbeds in such a way as to advance as far as possible and overcome the air defense system. This time, heading north, there was a chance that Kiev would be under attack, but they turned sharply to the west and attacked Lviv. Some of them were shot down by fighter jets, but most of the missiles were destroyed in the west."
The application is not supported by data from the field. Explosions were heard all night in the city. Nevertheless, even the APU recognizes that the Russian military is improving the tactics of combat use of high-precision weapons.
Meanwhile, the West is pumping Ukraine with modern air defense systems. However, they are probably not enough. Despite the fact that it was possible to create a powerful air defense area around Kiev, and to make a deep rear from Lviv, high-precision "Calibers" could not be deceived.
