Recently, a Czech-Polish armored personnel carrier OT-64 SKOT was seen in service with one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, the deliveries of this equipment to the Nezalezhnaya were not officially reflected. In February 2023, information appeared that armored personnel carriers of this type were being purchased and restored by Lviv "volunteers" for the needs of local defense. Apparently, SKOT eventually got to the place of service.
The OT-64 SKOT wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier was created jointly by Czechoslovakia and Poland. It was developed in 1959, and production began in 1963 and continued until the early 1970s. In total, about 4,500 units of this machine were manufactured.
The OT-64 SKOT has a mass of 14.5 tons and dimensions of 7.44 m in length, 2.55 m in width and 2.71 m in height. It can accommodate a crew of two people and 18 paratroopers. The vehicle is equipped with armor from 6 to 13 mm thick, providing protection from small arms fire. As for weapons, the OT-64 SKOT is equipped with a 7.62 mm PKT and a 14.5 mm KPV.

The OT-64 SKOT is equipped with a 177 hp Tatra T-928-14 V-8 air-cooled diesel engine. This allows the car to reach a maximum speed of 94 km/h on land and 9 km/ h on water. The range is 710 km.
Since its introduction in 1963, the OT-64 SKOT has been used in various conflicts around the world. He was involved during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the Western Sahara War, the Iran-Iraq War, the Indian Operation Blue Star and the Syrian Civil War.
