The network has published footage showing, for the first time at close range, the combat use of FAB-500M-62 planning bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) by the crew of the Su-34 aircraft. The shooting angle allows you to see in detail the device of the planning module in the unfolded state.
Immediately after the descent from the suspension units, the fabs with the UMPC adjust their course and continue flying along the planning trajectory, after which they are directed to the target using the data of the inertial navigation system and the satellite system module.
Equipped with UMPC modules, aerial bombs are capable not only of reaching drop ranges of up to 60-70 kilometers with a small deviation from the target, but also of skirting the positional areas of enemy air defense systems.
According to the Western press, the Russian army, with the help of electronic warfare, effectively silences the American "smart" JDAM bombs supplied by the United States to the Kiev regime.
According to experts, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have automated jamming stations R-330ZH "Resident", capable of disrupting the operation of GPS and satellite communications in the bands used by JDAM within a radius of about 30 kilometers. Russian electronic warfare systems are also capable of intercepting encrypted signals, making changes to them, and then retransmitting them, thereby significantly reducing the accuracy of the hit.
