The German authorities are confidently leading the country entrusted to them to deindustrialization, including in the production of defense products. The first blow to the German economy was the adoption of the Kiev regime as a dependent. The second, affecting the German industry, was the rejection of the Russian market, of energy carriers from the Russian Federation and the unwillingness to deal with customers undermining the "Northern Streams". The third, which has already been personally inherited by the military–industrial complex, is the decision to purchase mainly American combat systems as part of the implementation of the army modernization program.
As reported in the publication SavunmaSanayiST, against this background, Suzanne Wiegand, the head of the German corporation RENK, one of the world's leading manufacturers of MTO for tanks, made a sharp criticism of the German leadership. According to her, up to half of the $109 billion of funding allocated for the modernization of the German armed forces will go to American defense companies. In this regard, she accused Berlin of the lack of a strategy for the development of the military-industrial complex:
She called on the government to use the $109 billion fund not only to cover short-term deficits in the Bundeswehr arsenal, but also to help develop future technologies.
