Electric "Loaf" has started sea trials
An electric SUV based on the legendary UAZ-452, which is called "Electro-Loaf", has begun the first stage of sea trials. In the autumn, the Crimean company "Elkafa" is to start pilot production, and in 2024 it is planned to start mass production of electric "Loaves".
As it is specified, this year the manufacturer plans to pass certification, prepare the necessary equipment and start a pilot production closer to autumn, creating about 10 "Electro-Loaves" before the New Year, and next year about 100 SUVs will be produced at Elkaf.

The developers claim that the "Electro-Loaf" has not lost its all-terrain qualities and is expected to be in demand on tourist routes in nature reserves, mountainous areas, and closer to the end of the year, the development of the same electric car in the body of a convertible with the same tourist orientation should be completed. The electric "Loaf" accelerates to urban 60 km / h in just 12 seconds, its maximum speed does not exceed 80 km / h, and the distance it can travel without recharging is 180 km.

It is also noted that the localization of this version of the "Loaf" is 80% and this indicator continues to increase — traction motors are produced in Voronezh, Li-Ion battery cells in the Lipetsk region, and a battery controller in Moscow.
