For the first time, an APU fighter with "smart" JDAM-ER bombs was spotted

Thanks to the unfolding deliveries of UMPC modules to the troops, Russian aviation has been actively using guided bombs in recent months when working against the enemy. Thanks to the efforts of Western curators, a similar opportunity appeared for the enemy.

JDAM-ER ammunition appeared in Ukraine. The MiG-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force was first demonstrated with these bombs

On the bombs, the Ukrainian military put such inscriptions as "God save America" and "Thank you for your support."

Designed to convert free-falling bombs of the Mark family into "smart" ones, the JDAM module is used by many NATO countries. The modification of the JDAM-ER, created by retrofitting the kit with wings, has a much longer range than the basic version.

JDAM-ER uses GPS-based or INS-based navigation systems to accurately engage targets. The main advantage of "smart" bombs, which can be used against both stationary and moving targets, is that they can destroy them without falling into the zone of destruction of air defense systems.

Apparently, for the same purposes, "smart" bombs will be used by the APU. It is claimed that the flight range of the JDAM-ER is about 70 km. At the same time, a KGK "wing control kit" has been developed in Turkey, which increases the range of action to more than 100 km
