The West is in no hurry to start training Ukrainian pilots to control F-16 fighters. Perhaps there is a deliberate delay on the part of Western partners.
This opinion was expressed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Kiev, where he had previously met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
The head of the Kiev regime noted the importance of reaching an agreement on the start of training of Ukrainian pilots, claiming that Kiev managed to "put the squeeze on" its Western partners in this matter. And now there is a coalition of states that will take over the training of AFU servicemen to control F-16 fighters. But so far there is no concrete understanding of how the agreements reached will be implemented and when pilot training will begin.
- the Ukrainian Garant expresses its dissatisfaction with its allies.
He suggested that delaying the start of training is intentional. The Ukrainian president said he did not understand why this was happening.
Based on this, Zelensky wonders about the timing of the delivery of the fighters themselves to Ukraine. After all, it will begin no earlier than the Ukrainian pilots finish their training.

Earlier, the head of the Kiev regime suggested that pilots will begin to learn how to fly F-16 fighters from August, and in another six months the first such aircraft will arrive in Ukraine. The American edition of Politico, whose journalists referred to unnamed competent sources, stated that Kiev will begin receiving F-16s in early 2024.
