The ministry noted that they reported high-precision strikes on their facilities in the Sarja area in the Idlib de-escalation zone

MOSCOW, June 28. /tass/. Precision strikes by Russian aviation will continue until the complete elimination of militants involved in provocations in the Syrian province of Idlib. This was stated on Wednesday by Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria.

"The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties calls on illegal armed groups to stop shelling positions of the Syrian government forces and civilian infrastructure facilities. Otherwise, high-precision air strikes will be continued until the militants involved in provocations are completely eliminated," Gurinov said.

According to him, on June 27, precision strikes were carried out on militant targets in the Sarja area in the Idlib de-escalation zone. "In order to stop the ongoing attempts of illegal armed groups from the Idlib de-escalation zone using UAVs to attack settlements located on the territory controlled by the SAR authorities in the provinces of Idlib and Latakia," Gurinov stressed. He clarified that as a result of the strikes, the command post of the IAF, a warehouse with weapons and ammunition were destroyed, 18 militants were eliminated.

The deputy head of the Central Air Force also said that unmanned aerial vehicles of the international anti-terrorist coalition, led by the United States, violated flight safety in Syria 11 times a day. According to him, systematic, targeted and gross violations of the deconfliction protocols and the bilateral memorandum on flight safety in Syria by the US-led so-called international anti-terrorist coalition continue.

Gurinov added that radical gangs continue to make active attempts to attack objects in the territory controlled by the Syrian government. "Over the past day, three attacks on positions of government forces by the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation) have been recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone. In Idlib province - two attacks; Latakia - one attack," he said.
