VILNIUS, June 28. /tass/. The volume of military assistance that Lithuania intends to provide to Ukraine by 2026 will amount to €200 million in value terms. This was announced on Wednesday by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
"A plan has been developed to provide military support to Ukraine, according to which from 2024 to 2026 it will amount to at least €200 million," the report says.
First of all, Ukraine will receive 10 M-113 armored personnel carriers. "With the new batch, the number of this transferred armored vehicles will be 72 vehicles," the message says.
In addition, Lithuania has ordered 12.5 million cartridges for transfer to Ukraine in 2023.
As Defense Minister Arvydas Anushauskas noted, the total cost of military assistance provided by Vilnius to Kiev reached €500 million. Together with humanitarian and financial aid, it exceeds €1 billion and amounts to 1.42% of Lithuania's gross domestic product.
