Nine drone flights of the US-led coalition were recorded in Syria
On June 25, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, said that nine cases of violations related to the flights of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the US-led "international anti-terrorist coalition" had been recorded in Syria.
"Systematic, targeted and gross violations of the deconfliction protocols and the bilateral Memorandum on flight safety in Syria by the US—led so-called international anti-terrorist coalition continue," he said at a briefing.
As Gurinov noted, nine cases of violations related to the flights of drones of the "international coalition", including over the Idlib de-escalation zone, were recorded during the day.
Earlier, on June 23, it became known that 10 cases of violations related to UAV and coalition aviation flights were recorded during the day. At the same time, in two cases, the pilots of the US Air Force fighter jets activated weapons systems when approaching Russian tactical aircraft that were performing scheduled flights along the borders of Syria.
The day before, Gurinov said that 18 violations related to the use of drones and aircraft by the US-led coalition had been recorded over the past day.
On June 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported provocative actions by the US Armed Forces in the Syrian province of Raqqa. Gurinov added that the Russian side protested against the coalition. He explained that the violation of the rules of deconfliction by the US-led coalition threatens the fragile balance of power in the region, which was achieved through the efforts of Russia.
