The military of the Central Military District destroyed more than 100 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansk direction
The calculation of the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Tor-M1" of the Central Military District (CVO) destroyed more than 100 UAVs of Ukrainian troops in the Krasnolimansk direction. This was announced on Wednesday, June 21, by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"We have a monitor. We found the target, reported to the commander, and immediately after the commander's command, we destroy the target. We carry out further instructions after. As soon as the target was destroyed, we immediately change positions, immediately change, get to another place and after that we also find the target and also destroy it. They shot down drones like, for example, "Fury", — said the deputy commander of the calculation of "TOR–M1" with the call sign Bear.
The calculation of the Tor-M1 air defense system performs tasks to cover the ground forces of the Russian army from attacks by precision weapons, guided and anti-radar missiles, guided bombs, airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles, reconnaissance and attack drones.
Thanks to the modern model of the radar equipment of the SAM, the military can easily detect air targets in motion and shoot them down, the ministry reports.
According to the department, the accuracy of combat use allows calculations to destroy up to eight air targets of the Ukrainian army with one ammunition. At the same time, the radar station (radar) of detection automatically blocks the possibility of hitting "their" aircraft.
Such a radar can detect aircraft–type targets at a range of 25-27km, flying at altitudes from 30 to 6000 m, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a range of 9–15km. At the same time, the complex is able to detect targets covered by active and passive interference.
The day before, the head of the press center of the Center group, Alexander Savchuk, said that the calculations of the heavy flamethrower systems (CBT) "Solntsepek" destroyed the stronghold of the Ukrainian troops in the Krasnolimansk direction. Due to the air strike of Ka-52 and Mi-35 helicopters and artillery, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) suffered serious losses of manpower and equipment.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that since June 4, the AFU has launched 263 attacks on the positions of the Russian forces in the zone of its own. Thanks to the competent and selfless actions of our units, all of them were repulsed, the enemy did not achieve the goals. According to Shoigu, Ukrainian troops continue to attempt offensive actions in the South Donets, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions.
Also, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation successfully repelled 10 attacks by Ukrainian militants in the area of the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Avdiivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as four more in the South Donets and Zaporozhye directions.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
