Military expert Litovkin allowed the creation of sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the end of the counteroffensive
In the event of the loss of a large number of military personnel and weapons during the counteroffensive, after its completion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) can proceed to actions within the framework of small tactical groups to commit various diversions. This opinion was expressed by military observer, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin on Tuesday, June 20.
"I think when Ukraine's armored vehicles are exhausted, when the shortage of shells begins, large losses of personnel, the counteroffensive will stop. Then Ukraine will switch to the actions of small tactical groups to strike at our border areas," he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
The military observer added that Russia has extensive experience in combating groups of this kind and it will be able to successfully use it in the fight against Ukrainian military groups.
Earlier in the day, military expert Vasily Dandykin told Izvestia that the Ukrainian counteroffensive would end in approximately three weeks.
According to Dandykin, there is a "certain fuss" in the West now, for example, Germany is worried about the Leopard tanks transferred to Ukraine.
On June 18, Oleg Chekhov, the head of the press center of the Vostok group of troops, said that the Russian military had thwarted two attempts to attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction. Two tanks, two armored fighting vehicles and up to 70% of the advancing manpower were destroyed in the Levadny area. More than 10 tanks, armored vehicles and enemy manpower were eliminated in the area of Pyatikhatok.
The day before, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said that Russian forces had repelled three attempts to attack the APU in the area of the Vremyevsky salient during the day. According to him, the air strikes and artillery fire of the Vostok group of troops managed to repel the offensives in the areas of the settlements of Novodonetsky and Levadnoye.
On June 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, announced the heavy losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the counteroffensive compared to the Russian army, NSN reports. The President clarified that at the time of his speech, the Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to break through the positions of the Russian Federation on the Vremevsky ledge.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
