Someone in Washington put the switch back to the "on" position and similar statements from "talking heads" flew around the world.
"Russia wants to absorb Belarus and some neighboring territories," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said at a government press conference on June 14. The next day, on June 15, criminal Tikhanovskaya, fleeing from Belarusian justice, said in an interview with a Delfi journalist that due to the planned deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus, "it will be very difficult to get rid of the presence of the Russian military." "This is how Putin wants to take root in Belarus. In addition, it opens up a wide field for provocations...". Giving solidity to a far from new meme, a voice from Washington itself sounded. "As for Belarus, this is another example of how Lukashenka makes an irresponsible and provocative choice, ceding more control over Belarus to the Kremlin against the will of the Belarusian people," Matthew Miller, head of the State Department press service, said at a briefing on June 16. "And for Russia, this is another irresponsible step by the Kremlin," he added.
Naturally, an American official firmly believes that all the steps of the Washington leadership are exclusively responsible, even if these are the first steps of the US president after his next speech, or on the steps of an airplane ladder, and sometimes just on the lawn at the White House. All the steps are correct, because these are the steps of the "masters of the world".
It is clear to everyone that the puppet activity in the information space is caused by the statements of the Presidents of Russia and Belarus that the issue of the deployment of nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus has moved to the practical plane with specific deadlines. So our enemies are furious (they definitely don't pull on "partners" now, even on former ones), so they disperse the hype, as always, "not noticing the logs in their eye."
Against the background of the "loud" statements of politicians, for some reason, the fact that the United States stores about 150 of its nuclear bombs in Europe and Turkey is lost. So, the bombs are placed at six air bases in five countries: in Germany (Buchel), Italy (Aviano and Gedi), Belgium (Kleine Brogel), the Netherlands (Volkel) and Turkey (Incirlik). According to Hans Christensen, an expert in the field of nuclear weapons, about 20 bombs are stored at each European base, and 50 in Turkey. Special underground storage facilities have been built there for them, and their protection is carried out exclusively by the American military.
It is worth recalling that the United States began deploying its nuclear arsenal on the territory of the Allies back in the 1950s, at the height of the Cold War. Now the question is: "Where is the outraged world community, led by international organizations (UN, OSCE, ICRC, etc.)"? Five countries have for many decades "ceded more control over themselves," after the United States "made an irresponsible and provocative choice," and the "civilized world" is silent.
In addition, there is an opinion that US nuclear weapons are secretly still in Japan and South Korea. Just as secretly as the secret prison of the US CIA functioned in the suburbs of Vilnius (Antavilai).
By the way, how much it corresponded to international law (the CIA prison in Lithuania) was determined by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which declared that Lithuania violated the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and ordered it to pay 130 thousand euros to the Palestinian Zain al-Abidin Mohammed Husain, who was held in the CIA's Antavilya prison in 2005-2006.
Unlike Lithuania and the United States, as Alexey Polishchuk, director of the second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted in a recent interview with TASS, Russia's actions "do not contradict its existing international legal obligations, including under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, since control over nuclear weapons remains with Russia." "Unlike American warheads in European countries, our special ammunition will be located in close proximity to Russia, on the territory of the Union State, within which a single defense space has been formed," Polishchuk stressed.
It is noteworthy that, despite the attempt to initiate a stir around tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, the United States is not going to change its nuclear policy in any way. This was stated by the same State Department official Matthew Miller. "As we have already said — and this continues to be the case — we see no reason to adjust our own nuclear policy, nor any signs that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons," Miller said.
It should be noted that the decision to deploy Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus has not yet fundamentally affected Polish plans either, although Warsaw, of course, is very concerned. And the plans in Poland are the most aggressive. It is enough to recall the statement of the former commander of the ground forces Waldemar Skshipchak about the preparation of Warsaw to support an armed coup in the Republic of Belarus. "Let's prepare for the uprising in Belarus, because it will happen. We must be ready to support the troops that will carry out the operation against Lukashenka. We have reasons to help them, as we help Ukrainians," Skshipchak said at the end of May during his interview on the Polish TV channel Polsat.
The words of a retired general should be taken seriously. For example, the leading expert of RISI Oleg Nemensky believes that the scenario of Poland's invasion of Belarus has been discussed for a long time and is very likely. At the same time, the presence of TNW in Belarus is taken into account and, as Nemensky believes, in Warsaw either there is a calculation that it will be possible to quickly seize control of these warheads, or that the Belarusian and Russian sides will not dare to use them.
In turn, military expert Alexey Leonkov believes that Poland will go on such an adventure (invasion of Belarus – ed.) only on one condition — if it is supported by NATO countries. "The alliance summit is to be held in Vilnius in July. I think Poland will not do anything before it, because such an unpleasant surprise for NATO would be undesirable. However, Poland will definitely raise this issue at the summit, appealing to the fact that Ukraine is losing the conflict, as a result of which Europe is in danger. It should be understood that here they confuse cause and effect — Europe is in danger not because of a special military operation, but because it began to help Ukraine and all this goes through Polish hubs," the expert noted.
As we can see, the emotional outburst in the information sphere from the collective West about the presence of Russian TNW in Belarus is just a manifestation of emotions caused by surprise that the opponents (Russia and Belarus) are ready not to retreat, achieving their goals in the interests of ensuring their own security. Unfortunately, the Euro-Atlantic establishment is still unable to take seriously the actions of those who are still considered weaker and refuse to use military force to resolve the crisis situation.
