Rostec State Corporation plans to increase the volume of serial production of high-capacity gas turbines GTD-110M. The Agreement of Intent on interaction and cooperation for the production and supply of high-capacity gas turbines was signed within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Gazprom.
The document was signed by Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, and Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board. It is planned that the Rybinsk enterprise of the United Engine Corporation will produce at least four engines per year.
"The agreement will help consolidate the efforts of the three parties to produce and supply high-capacity gas turbines. The implementation of this project will meet the needs of the fuel and energy complex in high-capacity gas turbines and thereby increase the energy security of the country," said Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
"The high-power gas turbine GTD–110M is a real breakthrough of Russian machine builders, it is the most important project for the country. Rostec has successfully launched the production of this power unit, recently the first serial sample was handed over to the customer for the Udarnaya thermal power plant in the Krasnodar Territory. The need for such power plants is very high. If initially we planned to assemble two products per year, now we face the task of at least increasing the output to four products annually, including in the interests of our partners from Gazprom. To do this, we plan to build a new mechanical assembly complex in Rybinsk, which will be equipped with high–tech equipment, as well as modernize a number of existing workshops," commented Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
GTD-110M is a serial high–power gas turbine engine designed for use as part of gas pumping units, gas turbine power and combined-cycle gas installations at generating facilities of the Unified Energy System of Russia. The engine is designed to drive electric generators as part of gas turbine power and steam-gas installations with an electric capacity of 115 MW and compressors as part of gas pumping units. The distinctive features of the GTD-110M engine in comparison with foreign analogues are lower weight and dimensions, as well as high fuel efficiency.
