Earlier it was reported that the company will also present a new electric universal small-sized torpedo UMT. It can hit submarines of all types and individual classes of surface ships and vessels, as well as be used from all types of aircraft carriers in all areas of the World Ocean. According to the CEO of the concern Vladimir Patrushev, UMT is equipped with modern multiprocessor analog-digital equipment to detect a target and issue a command to defeat it. "The UMT torpedo provides homing to the target and non-contact detonation of the combat charge, hits the target from various carriers. The operation of the torpedo is possible both in autonomous and remote control mode when the torpedo is equipped with remote control with a fiber optic communication line (approx. TASS)," he said.
