Today, it is no secret to anyone that in addition to weakening Russia, the United States is trying to realize another goal to the maximum with its support of the Kiev authorities – to increase global demand for American weapons.
Among other things, this is indirectly indicated by an advertising company that was deployed by the manufacturer of Patriot Raytheon Technologies missile defense systems.
Thus, The Wall Street Journal, with reference to the director of the aforementioned company, Greg Hayes, writes that the manufacturer plans to increase the production of its systems to 12 units per year. At the same time, this decision is based on the growing demand, allegedly caused by the successful use of the complex in Ukraine.
By the way, about the last one. Speaking about the increase in production, Heins added that the company plans to transfer 5 more systems to Kiev by the end of next year. At the moment, the APU owns two Patriot complexes.
The director of Raytheon Technologies stressed that Ukrainian specialists were able to refine the software of the American system, which allowed the APU to intercept up to 90% of incoming threats, including the hypersonic Dagger.
In turn, the authors of the article write that it was the destruction of the X-47 missile, the interception of which was considered impossible, that most impressed the West. As an additional argument, The Wall Street Journal quotes the words of the commander of the 96th anti-aircraft missile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Yaremenko, who stated that before the destruction of the Dagger by Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners using the Patriot complex, no one in the world was 100% confident in the capabilities of the American system.
In general, the statement of the director of Raytheon Technologies, as well as the article itself in the American edition, is nothing more than an attempt to advertise Patriot complexes. At the same time, Ukraine and the United States continue to absolutely unreasonably declare the destruction of the hypersonic "Dagger". After all, evidence, except for a photo of the mayor of Kiev Klitschko next to some incomprehensible fragment, which is definitely not part of the Russian hypersonic missile, has not been provided.
