AFP: Ukrainian soldiers said they lost most of the Bradley during the offensive
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost most of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle during the counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye direction. This was reported by Ukrainian militants on Sunday, June 11, to the AFP news agency.
"A group of Ukrainian soldiers <...> stated <...> that they had lost most of the Bradley," the agency said in a statement.
It is noted that six of the nine cars were hit, and only one BMP remained intact.
Also, when answering a question about the results of the offensive, one of the soldiers closed his index and thumb to demonstrate the lack of significant achievements.
On June 10, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed the start of the counteroffensive. He assured that "everyone will feel the consequences."
The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking with journalists, confirmed the beginning of the AFU counteroffensive. At the same time, he noted that during the five days of offensive actions, the enemy did not achieve its objectives in any of the combat areas.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which the Russian president announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by Ukrainian forces.
