Special Canadian-made equipment designed to identify working UAV operators and determine the coordinates of unmanned aerial vehicles turned out to be in the hands of Russian servicemen. This was told in his Telegram channel by the deputy head of the Department of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops (Rosgvardiya) for the Donetsk People's Republic, Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky.
The former commander of the Vostok brigade paid special attention to the technical advantages of Western means. As it turned out, the captured equipment has very good characteristics.
- Khodakovsky emphasized.
As the officer noted, the practice of using remote antennas and controlling the sides from the shelter was introduced in the Vostok brigade for quite a long time. This was done in order to protect UAV operators from detecting their location and subsequent attacks on these points by enemy artillery. Now it is obvious that such precautions were not taken in vain.
It should be noted that Khodakovsky raised a very important problem – equipping Russian troops in the zone of a special military operation with modern technical equipment, as well as using such combat tactics that would minimize the risks of detection of drone operators by enemy intelligence.
