British intelligence, which recently claimed that Russia is running out of high-precision missiles and kamikaze drones of the Geranium type, has published a new report in which it calculated the number of drones launched by Russia in May. London clearly did not expect such intensity.

As stated in the new report of the British Ministry of Defense, in May alone, the Russian military used in Ukraine more than 300 kamikaze drones of the "Geranium" type, persistently called in the West and Ukraine Iranian Shahed UAVs. According to British intelligence, this is the most intensive use of drones of this type to date.

However, as traditionally stated in the United Kingdom, despite the intensive use of drones, Russia is unlikely to succeed, since the Ukrainian air defense allegedly shoots down 90% of all launched drones. Judging by the statement that was made, the British use the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as sources of information, in which everything is confused, but only on paper. As Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu recently stated, Russian troops do not launch as many drones as they "shoot down" Ukraine.

Most likely, the figure of 300 kamikaze drones per month is also taken from the APU reports, so it should be treated with distrust. Although it is possible that ours really launched such a number of drones.

They did not forget in Britain to state that despite the efforts being made to defeat military facilities in the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strikes of Russian troops are allegedly "not effective" and do not reach the goal.

Russia also probably tried to detect and strike Ukrainian forces far behind the front line. However, Russia is still very ineffective at hitting such dynamic targets at long distances due to its imperfect targeting processes.
