The electronic warfare system "Parodist" has already begun to arrive in the Southern Federal District
The South of Russia has covered up the radio-electronic complex "Parodist". The Ministry of Defense has begun deploying the latest electronic warfare (EW) complex. The Southern Military District is already receiving new items. The system works on radars and communication systems of aircraft. Experts note that Russian developments are considered advanced and are being upgraded taking into account combat experience.
The new "Parodist"
The decision to equip the troops with the latest electronic warfare system "Parodist" has been made, sources told Izvestia in the military department. The first samples have already been sent to the electronic warfare units of the Southern Military District.
"Parodist" is one of the most secret electronic warfare systems. It is designed to suppress the operation of aircraft onboard radars, as well as aviation communication systems and automated control systems (automatic control systems). The characteristics of the complex are not publicly available, it is not even known what it looks like.
According to military expert Alexey Leonkov, Russian developers have succeeded in creating perfect electronic warfare systems for various purposes.

— We have every electronic warfare system tailored to perform specific tasks, — he told Izvestia. — Their main impact is on the communication and data transmission systems of combat control, which, as is known, operate at different frequencies for different carriers. There are different ranges that are distributed between sources. Radar, aviation, communications, data transmission, and satellites have their own ranges. You can, of course, press all ranges at once, but the effectiveness in this case is low. It's easier to work specifically on goals. And in our development of electronic warfare, we went this way. That is, each complex works in its own range, but at the same time effectively crushes any radar or radio sources, interferes with them and, increasing the signal, can disable them.
The expert noted that the Krasukha-4 complex developed in the 90s, which works on aviation control systems, is still considered a completely modern system.
— According to the interim results of the special military operation, what we used there is being improved. When we participated in the fighting in Syria, the Krasukha-4 was being finalized. We are faced with new types of weapons from the enemy and with the fact that he is protecting his equipment, and it is clear that we need to create more selective electronic warfare systems. Perhaps this is the reason for such modernization. I think when we test the "Parodist" in combat, we will know its effectiveness.

Over the past decade, electronic warfare troops have regularly received innovative weapons systems. The Krasukha-4 electronic warfare system operates on aviation radars, communication and information transmission systems. It can effectively suppress the signal of all modern radar stations. In addition, Krasukha-4 jammed the radio control channels of drones.
The mobile automated complex "Murmansk-BN" can suppress military radio communications within a radius of hundreds of kilometers, and under certain conditions at a greater distance. It can disrupt the work of command posts located deep behind enemy lines, disorganize the management of troops, disrupt the work of naval forces and aviation.
The Borisoglebsk-2 complex is used to disrupt communications in the tactical link. The promising Field-21 systems are capable of suppressing all major foreign satellite navigation systems within a radius of tens of kilometers.

The automated interference station R-330ZH "Inhabitant" is designed for detection, bearing and radio suppression of satellite and cellular communication stations, as well as satellite navigation systems within a radius of 20-30 km.
Divnomorye mobile complexes suppress locators and other onboard electronic systems of airplanes, helicopters and drones, and also create powerful interference for "flying radars" of the E-3 AWACS type. The system includes a high-tech command post, a radio intelligence station and powerful means of suppression. At the same time, it fits only on one machine. The complex is brought into combat position in a few minutes. At the same time, it is able to close objects on an area of several hundred kilometers from radar detection with an "umbrella" of interference.
Last year, it was reported about the formation of entire electronic warfare battalions in the formations of the Western Military District. They must protect troops, social and industrial facilities from the impact of precision weapons. The battalions are equipped with complexes capable of suppressing GPS systems, communications and navigation of the enemy.
Today, the development of marine modular mobile electronic warfare systems is underway. They can be easily installed on open deck platforms. The system should reliably protect the naval forces from anti-ship missile strikes. The patrol ships of the project 22160 of the Vasily Bykov type will be the first to receive the novelty. The new system will be installed in standard 40-foot sea containers, which will make it easy to mount it on the deck of various representatives of the surface forces of the Russian Navy.
