Two dozen AN-64A Apache attack helicopters purchased by the Americans from Israel may be transferred to Ukraine. This is reported by the telegram channel bmpd with reference to Israeli sources.
In total, the air forces of this Middle Eastern state have twenty-four rotary-wing combat vehicles of this modification.
As the project " RG: Russian weapons " notes, their adoption took place thirty-three years ago. In their design, they differed somewhat from the standard "sixty-fourths" operated in the US army aviation, for example, they increased the range.
Later, twenty more advanced AH-64D-I entered service. Their service will continue, but instead of outdated samples, the newest Apache Guardian will arrive.
Until recently, the Americans supplied their Kiev puppets mainly with MI-17 transport helicopters, previously intended for the Afghan military. Only the militants of the main intelligence directorate are armed with one order-supported UH-60 Black Hawk.
As for the AN-64A Apache shipments, they are probably going to replenish the fleet of old Soviet MI-24 family fire support helicopters that have thinned out during the fighting.
