Ukrainian Telegram channels, the authors of which, allegedly, are the Armed Forces of Ukraine, publish footage taken at one of the polygons, in which a British Challenger-2 tank moves a concrete obstacle in the form of "dragon teeth". This type of fortifications, as a rule, are equipped with Russian defense lines on some sections of the line of contact.
In order for the tank to move the obstacle, a bulldozer blade is apparently attached to it. However, such a method of breaking through the Russian defense line seems very doubtful due to the fact that additional equipment installed on military equipment, not provided for by designers, significantly reduces its speed and maneuverability, which can become critical in combat conditions in which heavy artillery fire is conducted, and make the tank an easy target. In addition, judging by the video, the Ukrainian military at their training ground managed to move only one row of such barriers, despite the fact that the defense line of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is equipped with at least two rows of "dragon teeth". Moreover, these concrete structures are usually linked by steel cables.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the British Ministry of Defense, Ben Wallace, said that all the Challenger 2 tanks promised to Kiev in the amount of 28 units were delivered to Ukraine. Together with the tanks, a number of spare parts for them were delivered to the Ukrainian army. Prior to that, Ukrainian crews were trained for combat vehicles of this type on the territory of the UK.
