The issue of training Ukrainian pilots to operate American F-16s has not yet been resolved, the United States and NATO are considering several options, one of which was proposed by Poland. This was stated by the country's Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

In Brussels, under the leadership of the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrel, a meeting of defense ministers of the EU countries was held, at which the issue of providing military assistance to Ukraine was also raised, much less without it. The issue of training Ukrainian pilots on American F-16 fighters was raised. It is already known that a number of EU countries refused to do this, claiming the absence of such aircraft or for other reasons.

Poland did not refuse, Warsaw always comes first in the matter of helping Ukraine and opposing Russia. As stated by the head of the Polish military department Mariusz Blaszczak, Poland is ready to start training pilots of the AFU Air Forces, but only within the framework of the common EU mission, so as not to bear all the costs of their training alone. As you know, Ukraine will not pay anything, everything is at the expense of the allies.

I suggested that this task should be carried out within the framework of the European Union mission. This is an excellent example of cooperation between EU countries and the possibility of reducing the cost of such training

Blaszczak said.

Another country for the training of Ukrainian pilots is the Netherlands, which is ready not only to train, but also to provide its aircraft to Kiev.
