/tass/. Details on the issue of training Ukrainian pilots to control F-16 fighters will be worked out in the coming weeks. This was announced on Friday on Twitter by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

"Together with colleagues from the UK, Denmark and Belgium, we welcome reports that the US is ready to approve the training of Ukrainian pilots to control F-16 fighters," he wrote. - Details will be worked out in the coming weeks. Ukraine can count on the unconditional support of the Netherlands and international partners."

Prior to that, Rutte reported that within the framework of the international coalition, the issue of transferring fighters to Ukraine is being discussed. The Netherlands has several dozen F-16s, which are gradually being replaced by more modern F-35s.

As Politico newspaper reported, citing a source in the US administration, US President Joe Biden on Friday at a meeting with the other leaders of the G7 countries in the Japanese city of Hiroshima said that Washington would support joint international efforts to train Ukrainian pilots to control modern fighter jets, including the F-16. The American broadcaster NBC informed about the plans of the United States and its allies to deliver the F-16 to Ukraine.
