TSAMTO, May 17. Rostec will present helicopters, unmanned vehicles, promising VK-650V and VK-1600 helicopter engines, as well as new materials and onboard systems at the 15th International Exhibition HeliRussia-2023.
In total, more than 100 developments will be demonstrated at the State Corporation's exposition.
At HeliRussia-2023, Rostec companies such as the United Engine Corporation, KRET, Russian Helicopters Holding, Obninsk Research and Production Enterprise "Technology" will present their products. Rosoboronexport will show modern export products.
"Russia is one of the few countries in the world capable of creating helicopter technology from scratch. Thousands of our employees and dozens of enterprises are involved in this work. At HeliRussia-2023, we present the results of this work, including modern types of military and civilian helicopters, new types of avionics, helicopter-type drones, promising VK-650V and VK–1600 engines that will replace foreign power plants on domestic helicopters," the Rostec aviation complex reported.
The United Engine Corporation is creating a VK-650V engine with a take-off capacity of 650 hp for light multi-purpose and special helicopters, including for Ansat. It has better specific characteristics than foreign analogues. VK-1600 with a capacity of 1400 hp is designed for the Ka-62 helicopter in take-off mode, has high fuel efficiency and low life cycle cost.
Among the key exhibits are two flight samples of the unmanned aircraft system BAS-200 with various types of target loads and equipment for monitoring the terrain: a gravimeter, a magnetometer and a spectrometer. These devices have already been practically tested as part of the UAV.
Due to its high load capacity (50 kg), it is possible to install a wide range of equipment for monitoring and aerial photography. This UAV has been successfully tested in the Far North, where it delivered cargo in conditions of low temperatures and difficult weather conditions. At the end of 2022, it became Russia's first helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle certified according to airworthiness standards.
The exhibition also presents structural materials, honeycomb fillers, high-strength organic and silicate glazing. In particular, a radio-transparent antenna fairing for helicopter navigation systems will be demonstrated. It allows you to improve the quality of onboard radars by more than 10% thanks to the use of modern composites based on quartz fabric.
The Ka-52 combat reconnaissance and attack helicopter and an upgraded version of the Mi-28NE combat helicopter, Mi-17V-5 and Mi-171SH military transport vehicles, and the Mi-35M transport and combat helicopter will be presented at the Rosoboronexport stand. In addition, visitors will be able to see the light multipurpose Ka-226T and the transport-amphibious Mi-26T2B.
In addition, for the first time, an automatic radio compass and an electronic drive unit for modern aircraft, in particular, for the SSJ-NEW passenger airliner, will be shown at the exhibition.
The International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia is the only one in Russia where the world achievements of the entire range of products and services of the helicopter industry are presented – from design and production to operation. HeliRussia-2023 will be held in the period from May 18 to May 20 at the Crocus Expo IEC.
