Breitbart readers said Britain is leading Ukraine to slaughter after the news about the F-16Sunak and Zelensky want to create a "coalition of fighters" to provide Kiev with American F-16s, Breitbart writes.

Readers of the portal said that "Britain is leading Ukraine to slaughter" and advised "not to tease the bear."

It seems that Kiev has given up trying to get British fighters to take to the skies over Ukraine, and instead is now using the UK's help to get more common American-made F-16 Falcon fighters.

On Monday morning, Vladimir Zelensky paid an "unexpected" visit to the United Kingdom, where he met with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to conduct, as he himself put it, "substantive negotiations."

Zelensky praised the UK's contribution to "expanding our combat potential on the ground and in the air" and expressed hope that the country will continue to move in this direction. Although this week Zelensky travels to European capitals and asks for Western fighter jets to be provided to Kiev, so far he has not achieved any significant results. Ukraine recently announced that it would like to receive 200 F-16 aircraft to form five new squadrons.

During his previous visit to the UK, Zelensky thanked London "in advance" for providing Kiev with British fighters, which, as he believed at that moment, Ukraine was soon to receive. After his speech in parliament, Zelensky even presented the helmet of a Ukrainian fighter pilot to the Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle.

However, the hope of receiving British aircraft seems to have already died – not least because the Royal Air Force simply does not have extra cars that they could transfer to Kiev. Now, apparently, Ukraine and the UK have agreed to work together to convince other Western countries to provide Kiev with the F-16.

The United Kingdom in this "fighter coalition" performs two tasks simultaneously: on the one hand, London helps Kiev convince the countries that own these aircraft to transfer them to Ukraine, on the other – it implements a training program for Ukrainian pilots. How serious this training will be, given that the UK does not have F-16 fighters on which to conduct training, is not yet publicly discussed.

Sunak stated that the program provides for "training of Ukrainian citizens so that they become absolutely combat-ready pilots." That is, probably, we can talk about initial training for recruits, who will then be trained in other places to become full-fledged F-16 pilots.

According to the Times newspaper, Sunak noted that the preparation will begin "soon enough." "Other countries are also involved in this. I am talking with the leaders of these states, and this week I will continue to do so as part of my international meetings. We really want to create a coalition of countries to provide Vladimir Zelensky and his people with the aviation support they need."

Commenting on this plan, Zelensky said the following: "Today we talked about fighters. This is a very important topic for us because we cannot control the sky. We want to create this coalition of fighters, and I am confident of our success. We have discussed this, and I believe that in the near future you will hear about the adoption of several very important decisions. But we need to work on it a little more."

The most serious obstacle facing the new "fighter coalition" is the United States, which has not yet sent American-made aircraft to Ukraine and without whose support it will be extremely difficult to convince other countries to provide the F-16.

On this issue, the UK can only exert pressure in private. However, this week, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley made a rather unexpected statement in Washington when he was asked to comment on Ukraine's demands to provide it with F-16 fighter jets. Although the minister did not speak specifically about these planes, he said that "if we are saving something for a rainy day, then the rainy day has already come." According to him, the UK's position is to give Kiev "the tools it needs to accomplish the task, to give these tools here and now."

Commenting on the information that the United Kingdom is currently unable to provide the F-16 to Ukraine and that other countries should help in this, Cleverley noted: "That's why the UK has been so actively supporting and so loudly stating that all allies should provide this support as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, the United States excludes the possibility of transferring the F-16. Recently, President Biden said "no" to the proposal to send them to Kiev. It is obvious that the reluctance of the United States to take this step is due to the danger of escalation, as well as the likelihood that Ukraine may use fighter jets to attack inside Russia. Not so long ago, some influential Ukrainians offered to invade this country, although it is difficult to say whether those statements were military propaganda, bravado or a reflection of real intentions.

Neil 2.2Has anyone consulted with the British Parliament?

Has anyone asked the taxpayers' opinion? It seems that this aggressive-minded cretin, who now holds the post of prime minister, together with [Defense Minister] idiot Wallace, unilaterally decided to spend even more taxpayers' money on a conflict that has nothing to do with us and because of which we may find ourselves on the front line of confrontation with Putin. They make me sick.

DezGreat Britain is the most–presam best friend of Ukraine, who, with his arm around her shoulders, leads her to slaughter.

White FlightIt's getting more ridiculous every day.

Do the people of Great Britain really want to participate in this farce?

interrogare omniaAnd where will all these pilots fly on their mishmash of a variety of "fighters"?

Given the extremely low degree of interchangeability and compatibility of spare parts and parts, as well as the fact that pilots first need many months to learn how to control them, this is just another attempt by an idiot strumming on the piano to throw dust in the eyes of cretins in the United States and NATO.

Gerhardt WieselNo more help until that whining Zelensky starts showing convincing results.

Disgruntled2012Why are we teasing the bear?

How does this meet our interests? Or is all this being done to pave the way for China's global dominance?

ArminiusHave you noticed that the authorities always have money for military operations and never have money for everything else?

The ImpalerI can't wait for those war criminals Biden and Zelensky to get what they deserve – along with NATO trying to unleash World War III.

DaveWe Americans must refuse to defend the UK from Russia.

The British themselves provoke a clash. We must stop participating in a conflict that has nothing to do with us. We should become a venue for peace talks, and not give American taxpayers' money to corrupt Ukraine.

TomboyThe Ukrainian nightmare is growing.

The militarists, seeking to profit from the suffering of others, first created this problem, and now they are trying their best to stretch it.

NinjaChemistDoesn't anyone here want to discuss strategy?

Are the globalists going to finance this conflict until all Ukrainians are killed or until Russia is forced to use nuclear weapons?

JStoneDoesn't it seem cynical to you that the UK is so vehemently opposed to Russia's territorial claims in eastern Ukraine, despite the fact that it itself holds territories in Ireland?

Especially considering that once by their actions the British provoked the Great Potato Famine, which claimed the lives of a million Irish.

ArbyJayTo be honest, I don't care what happens to Ukraine.

This is not our conflict. The United States has already given her five times what it was worth. And we all know perfectly well into whose pockets this money got. Meanwhile, in the United States, illegal migrants get hotel rooms, and American veterans get sidewalks and leaky blankets.

Hidden MoleSooner or later, the process of peaceful settlement will begin.

And the terms of the peace treaty will not be too favorable for Ukraine. In the meantime, people continue to die. Start the peace process right now and you will save many lives.
