The units of the armed formations of the Kiev regime, equipped with light British armored personnel carriers FV103 Spartan, continue to suffer losses. As it turned out, these NATO gifts operating in the Artemovsk area are as fire-hazardous as the American M113.As noted by "RG: Russian weapons", when Russian weapons of destruction hit them, for example, ammunition of large-caliber small arms, they begin to burn.
Moreover, so intensively that the special systems on board, designed to eliminate the flame, become useless. Often such equipment is destroyed together with the crew and the landing party inside. [...]
At first, when such vehicles began to enter service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, some of the experts noted that due to their relatively small size (length - 5125 mm, width - 2242 mm, height - 2260 mm), they would be less vulnerable compared to other Western infantry delivery vehicles. However, as it turned out, the compactness of the FV103 does not help much.

Spartan was adopted by the British Ground Forces in 1978. In total, about half a thousand units were produced. On their basis, self-propelled anti-tank systems FV102 Striker, armed with ten Swingfire guided missiles, have been created.
They were also used to deliver calculations of portable air defense missile systems and soldiers of engineering troops. The car weighs a little more than eight tons. The engine power is 250 hp. The maximum speed is 80 km/h. The power reserve is 640 km .
The crew consists of three people: a commander, a driver, a gunner with a 7.62 mm machine gun. The troop compartment is quite cramped, so only four fully equipped servicemen can fit there.
In total, in the past and current years, about a hundred units of the FV103 Spartan and cars based on them were received through official channels and at the expense of private individuals.
