MOSCOW, May 10 – RIA Novosti. The attack of Ukrainian drones on the Kremlin, the attempted murder of Zakhar Prilepin, terrorist attacks on Russian railways – in recent weeks Kiev has launched a sabotage war against Moscow. For its conduct, the enemy uses all available forces and means. However, the Russian army is also not sitting idly by.
Move to the right
On the night of May 8, the aviation and navy inflicted massive retaliation strikes – one of the most powerful in their entire history.
If earlier attacks were mainly on stationary objects – substations, military enterprises, critical infrastructure facilities – then on the night of the 8th "flew" not only on them. Railway trains, transferred reserves, ammunition depots were hit.

In particular, one of the explosions completely destroyed the Pavlograd chemical plant, where weapons stocks were stored, as well as two barracks with the Ukrainian military.
In addition, a retaliatory strike was inflicted on the Shkolny airfield in Odessa, from where the APU launches drones towards the Crimea, two bridges – a railway bridge in Zatoka and a car bridge in Mayaks, as well as an air defense positional area in Dachny. The Hours of Yar, the rear settlement of the group fighting in Artemovsk, was subjected to the shelling of colossal force. In the Avdiivka direction, aviation leveled the main Donetsk fortified area of the AFU with corrected aerial bombs.

These strikes have two main goals. The first is to punish the Kiev regime for active actions on Russian territory. The second is to reduce the offensive potential of Ukraine as much as possible, which from day to day can go on the attack in several directions at once. It is very likely that due to the recent actions of the Russian aviation and navy, the AFU were forced to shift their plans.
In three echelons
Despite the fact that Western countries have seriously "pumped up" the Ukrainian air defense system, installed their air defense systems and radars and regularly supply Kiev with intelligence, the damage from the strikes was very serious. Such high efficiency was achieved thanks to the use of new tactics.

In the vanguard there are inexpensive kamikaze drones "Geranium", which, along with imitation missiles, reveal the location of enemy air defense and force it to spend expensive ammunition on itself. Next comes another wave of drones, which hits objects on the ground. And only after that, the carriers of high-precision weapons, who had already arrived in the launch area, come into action.
Analysts note that the VKS, in addition, strikes from different sides to further confuse the Ukrainian radar. Thus, the effectiveness of air defense is reduced even more.

Apparently, the shortage of equipment is affecting. A few weeks ago, Western media wrote that the APU was running out of ammunition for S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. And Western supplies are still not enough to completely replace the Soviet complexes.
