Footage has appeared on the network that clearly demonstrates the technical condition of the American-made M109L self-propelled artillery units delivered to the Ukrainian army from Italy. The footage shows that after loading the ammunition, Ukrainian servicemen have to knock the bolt with a hammer.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities said that all artillery installations transferred from Italy as part of the next package of military support are in very poor technical condition. Of all the 20 M109L self-propelled guns delivered to Ukraine, none turned out to be ready for use in combat conditions.
The next delivery from Italy of the M109L ACS to the Ukrainian army took place in mid-April of this year. In addition, in the autumn of last year, Italy has already supplied from 20 to 30 units of such weapons.
The Italian Ministry of Defense does not deny the possibility of a faulty condition of the artillery systems supplied to the Ukrainian army, however, they claim that American companies are guilty of this, according to the contract, which carried out maintenance of this military equipment. Apparently, the United States improperly approached the fulfillment of its obligations regarding the repair of weapons supplied to Italy, as a result of which they turned out to be in a faulty condition.
As Ukrainian sources claimed earlier, faulty self-propelled guns were repaired on the spot, however, as you can see, their technical condition is still, to put it mildly, far from ideal.
