According to the interlocutor of the agency, NATO "remains vigilant" in connection with the incident that occurred on Friday, and the mission's aircraft are brought to a higher degree of readiness. Further questions were forwarded to the Polish authorities.
On the eve of the Polish border service reported the interception of their plane over the Black Sea. It was noted that during the patrol flight of the Turbolet L-410 during Operation Frontex under the command of Romania, a Su-35 fighter of the Russian Air Force approached the aircraft.
As a result of the Su-35 maneuvers, the crew of the Polish aircraft lost control of the vessel, but eventually managed to land it safely.
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that all flights are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace over neutral waters.
Earlier, in April, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet escorted a German plane over the Baltic Sea.
