Airbus Station The life of the ISS is coming to an end, and politics comes into play in conjunction with the economy.
Humanity will either be able to create a new version of a large and accessible station in space, or it will finally break up into competing groups that will build their own objects in near-Earth orbit. For companies like Airbus, both options are beneficial, so its engineers presented the concept of a new LOOP station.
LOOP is a project of a universal layout of a structure for living and working in space. It consists of three floors, each 8 m in diameter and the same height, so that almost any equipment can be placed there. If desired, any of the floors can be turned into a living room, laboratory, docking station, etc.
Airbus Station Inside the station there is a place even for sports simulators, and one of the levels can be turned into a centrifuge to simulate the Earth's gravity and reduce the load on the bodies of astronauts.
All floors are connected by the trunk of the central shaft, around which plants are planted to purify the atmosphere. Plus, it is also a source of vitamins and fresh herbs in the diet of the inhabitants of the station.

The Airbus LOOP is a commercial project, it is designed to make money, but so far there is no information about the cost of such a huge station, nor about the costs of its operation.
On the other hand, the world has entered the era of cosmic romanticism, when flights beyond the Earth have become more accessible than ever before. Therefore, projects of such "hotels in orbit" are likely to be in demand. And for what purposes they will be used – time will tell.
