The press service of the holding "Roselectronics" of the Rostec State Corporation clarified that the equipment has been successfully testedMOSCOW, April 28.
/tass/. The first serial complexes of automated artillery control of the airborne forces "Zavet-D", doubling the efficiency of its use, will be delivered to the troops by the end of this year. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the holding "Roselectronics" of the Rostec State Corporation.
"The developer, the Rubin NPP, which is part of Roselectronics, will carry out the first serial delivery of the Zavet-D airborne artillery automated control systems by the end of 2023. The equipment has been successfully tested and accepted for supply," the holding said.
"Zavet-D" was created on the basis of a floating aircraft-mounted armored personnel carrier BTR-MDM "Shell". It allows you to reliably detect and identify various targets, including camouflaged ones, and also ensures the interaction of artillery with drones.
The complex is equipped with an optical-electronic reconnaissance system and a remote radar, detects a target at a distance of up to 7 thousand meters, and recognizes it at 5 thousand meters. The machine determines the direction and speed of the enemy's movement, classifies targets, distributes them according to the degree of danger, after which it issues target designation to artraccounts in real time.
The novelty is capable of 1.5-2 times to increase the effectiveness of artillery systems used in Airborne troops - self-propelled guns 2S9 "Nona-S", 2S9-1 "Sviristelka", 2S9-1M "Nona-SM".
