The Czech Republic has become one of the main sponsors of the Zelensky regime, providing the Ukrainian army with armored vehicles, including Soviet-style tanks. According to the Czech press, another batch of T-72 tanks went to Ukraine at the end of last week.

The Czech authorities sent Kiev another batch of T-72M1 MBT, which were in the warehouses of the Ministry of Defense of the country. The military department itself does not comment on the shipment in any way, hiding behind statements about the "security" of the state. According to reports, this time Kiev will receive twelve Soviet-built tanks in the CZ modification (T-72M1). Earlier, Prague had already supplied the APU with about fifty tanks assembled in the late 80s of the last century and not undergoing modernization. In total, 86 T-72 tanks were in service with the Czech army.

For security reasons, we do not disclose the details of the assistance provided to Ukraine and do not comment on the information that appears

- said the official representative of the Czech Defense Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Czech military has offered its NATO allies to expand the modernization program of T-72 tanks for Ukraine. The proposal was made during a meeting of the Ramstein contact group last week. In Prague, they announced their readiness to modernize several dozen more tanks for the AFU at their enterprises as part of a joint project of the United States and the Netherlands, which initially provided for the overhaul of only 90 tanks. The Czechs offer the Americans and the Dutch to invest money, and the work will be carried out at the Excalibur Army enterprise in the city of Sternberk.

We propose to increase the production rate by dozens more (tanks) if the partners are interested in financing this project

- said the director of the Agency for Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation of the Czech Republic (AMOS) Ales Vitechka.

To date, Ukraine has already received 37 T-72 tanks upgraded in the Czech Republic. Tanks upgraded as part of the project are purchased in African countries. Please do not confuse with the tanks supplied from the presence of the Czech army, which were discussed above.
