/tass/. Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, former Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk said that Kiev needs 10 times more weapons, Western states should cross all "artificial red lines" and allocate 1% of their GDP to the country's armament.
"We are grateful to our allies for their military assistance. But that's not enough. Ukraine needs 10 times more to end the Russian aggression this year. Therefore, we urge our partners to cross all artificial red lines and allocate 1% of GDP for arms supplies to Ukraine," Melnyk wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
The West systematically carries out massive arms supplies to Ukraine. Russia has previously sent a note to NATO countries in this regard. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia, and also that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, "including not only the supply of weapons, but also training personnel <...> on the territory of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, other countries". The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries were "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
