TSAMTO, April 17. All eight Leopard-2A4 tanks promised by Canada to the Ukrainian regime have been delivered to Poland, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on April 14.
The Minister announced the beginning of the transportation of the Leopard-2A4 MBT on board military transport aircraft on February 4. Then it was reported that in total, the Canadian government intends to transfer four tanks to Kiev. However, this figure was subsequently increased to eight units.
In addition to Canada, Leopard-2 tanks of A4/A5/A6 versions of the Ukrainian army agreed to transfer Germany, Poland, Spain, Norway, Portugal and Sweden.
The Defense Ministers of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands also confirmed their intention to transfer up to 200 Leopard-1A5 tanks to Kiev.
