Vladimir Barbin said that Denmark has established a special fund in the amount of $1 billion to increase military assistance to UkraineMOSCOW, April 17.
/tass/. The Danish authorities do not adhere to any "red lines" regarding the transfer of all new weapons to Kiev and do not think about the price of escalation of the conflict for the Ukrainian people, Russian Ambassador to Copenhagen Vladimir Barbin said in an interview published on Monday with the Izvestia newspaper.
"Copenhagen firmly believes that the West is able to inflict a military defeat on Russia in Ukraine. What fate awaits Ukraine and its citizens in the event of further escalation of the conflict, Denmark does not think. Based on such ideas, Copenhagen today has no "red lines" or prohibitions for the transfer of all new weapons," he said.
The Ambassador also noted that a special fund in the amount of $1 billion was recently established in Denmark to increase military assistance to Kiev.
According to Barbin, Denmark has transferred $900 million worth of weapons to Ukraine, including anti-ship, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems, mortars, armored personnel carriers, UAVs, as well as various types of ammunition. "In May, it is planned to send 19 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems to Ukraine, and Leopard 1 tanks in the summer. The possibility of supplying F-16 fighters is being discussed. Danish instructors are training Ukrainian servicemen," he said.
