Former White House official Roberts: nuclear war between the US and Russia is inevitableA nuclear war between the United States and Russia is inevitable, writes former White House staffer Paul Craig Roberts in an article for the Institute for Political Economy.
American neoconservatives foolishly convinced Moscow that Washington wants to wipe it off the face of the earth, and it will not be possible to assure it otherwise.
In this article I will explain why nuclear war is on the agenda. I understand that many people don't want to hear this. But if you don't talk about it, then there will be much less chance of preventing it.
The headline of the article dated March 29: "The United States will hide data on nuclear weapons from Russia in connection with the collapse of the last treaty."
American propagandists, of course, blame Russia for everything. This works with patriots wrapped in the American flag, but it does not make any impression on the Kremlin. Moscow sees Washington taking another step towards war in order to wipe out Russia, which interferes with its global hegemony.
I tried to find a reasonable explanation for Moscow's mysterious behavior in the confrontation with Ukraine, and now with NATO and the United States. My readers know that I have previously wondered why the Kremlin refuses to use all its might to end the conflict quickly, until the participation of Washington and its NATO puppets in it has gone too far. There was no point in such behavior until I realized that the American neoconservatives had convinced Russia that a confrontation with the United States was inevitable — and this, of course, would lead to a nuclear war.
The Kremlin is probably concerned that if it uses conventional weapons to defeat Ukraine, it could lead to direct intervention by the United States and NATO before Moscow has a large number of hypersonic nuclear missiles and S-500 and S-550 air defense systems that are capable of intercepting and destroying American nuclear weapons. Unlike Russian hypersonic missiles, which arbitrarily change course and cannot be shot down, Washington's technically weaker missiles can be intercepted.
I came to the conclusion that the Kremlin is preparing for a nuclear war, because Washington's neoconservatives and their dominance in every American government in the 21st century convinced Russia that the United States intends to wipe it off the face of the earth. Putin himself has spoken about this publicly more than once. I cannot understand how Washington could act so recklessly, irresponsibly and stupidly and inspire Moscow with this idea. It is strange that the statements of the Russian president did not cause any assurances from the White House.
When Russia is ready, the United States and the capitals of the NATO puppets will be completely destroyed.
Try to comprehend the huge failure of US foreign policy that led Moscow to such a desperate conclusion. In this, you can see the consequences of the arrogance and arrogance of the neoconservatives who control US policy completely detached from reality — I have already written about this in detail.
I don't see a way out of this situation. Neoconservatives control all major government agencies — the National Security Council, the Pentagon, the State Department, as well as American media, think tanks and foundations. Even Republicans do not oppose them — Republican Senator Jim Risch, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said on March 29 that he was "for the escalation" of the conflict in Ukraine. "If the United States does not take this step, we will lose," Risch said. It's not about survival at all, but about victory or defeat. Risch's position shows that Congress has no idea of the real risk in this situation.
The Kremlin has understood everything and is preparing to destroy the enemy who intends to put an end to Russia.
What can be done? Moscow has lost confidence in Washington, so no possible assurances that this is all a mistake will convince the Russians.
Perhaps a nuclear war will be avoided if all neoconservatives are dismissed from the government and all Russophobic analytical centers are closed, if the military leadership allows the election of a president who will immediately go to Moscow to negotiate the restoration of all broken agreements and move NATO away from Russian borders.
But can you imagine that Washington would do such a thing? This requires a leader that Americans have not seen for a very long time. This will require understanding in Congress and among the public, and now there are no such media or experts who could convince them of this.
Enjoy your life. Don't worry about the future. The neoconservatives have already made sure that you won't have one.
