The North Atlantic Alliance ceases to be both exclusively "North" and "Atlantic", openly trying to expand through at least contacts with countries located outside the region designated during the formation of the alliance. So, it became known about Japan's decision to open a permanent mission to NATO – in Brussels. Apparently, embassies in the United States and Belgium are no longer enough to discuss further militarization.
It also became known that the NATO members decided to invite representatives of such "non-Atlantic" states as South Korea, New Zealand and Australia (in addition to Japan mentioned above) to the summit, which is scheduled for July this year and which is to be held in Vilnius.
At the same time, NATO outlined agreements with South Korea on the supply of ammunition to "NATO allies." This may indicate that South Korean ammunition of NATO caliber at least through third countries gets (or will get) to Ukraine.
Among other things, NATO says it is expanding cooperation with some countries in North Africa, including, for example, Tunisia and Mauritania.
Thus, it is quite possible to state that NATO is expanding on all continents of the planet. And the expansion courses are quite defined – in Europe and in the South Caucasus (for example, in Georgia), expansion is going to destabilize Russia's borders, in Asia and Oceania – to counter China. This, by and large, has long ceased to be hidden by the NATO officials themselves, starting with the Secretary General.
The very group of countries in question fit into the model of those whom the United States is trying to use to preserve its own hegemony, including the hegemony of the American dollar.
