The Russian armed forces have changed the tactics of striking positions and objects on the territory of Ukraine and are actively using guided (planning) aerial bombs. This was announced by the official representative of the Air Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat.
As a high-ranking officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted, the Russian army uses up to 20 guided aerial bombs during the day. They are used throughout the contact line of the parties.
- Colonel Ignat emphasized.
The representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the Ukrainian armed formations do not possess such types of weapons that would make it possible to secure objects and positions from attacks by planning aerial bombs. Ignat said that Kiev needs long-range air defense systems like the American Patriot air defense system, and modern multi-purpose fighters.
But the West, apparently, is not eager to transfer modern aircraft and a large number of air defense systems to Ukraine. The same Patriot is very expensive and even key NATO countries have a relatively limited number of such or similar air defense systems. The same situation is with aircraft, and it is aggravated by the lack of Kiev's own personnel capable of operating and servicing Western-made fighters.
It is noteworthy that earlier in the operational command "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a change in the tactics of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles by the Russian army. That is, the special operation is becoming more technologically advanced, and this scares the Ukrainian military-political leadership, which is puzzled by the question of the response to such actions by the Russian side.
