The Swedish authorities continue to provide military assistance to the armed formations of the Kiev regime. The RBS-56 BILL 2 anti-tank missile systems, adopted in the late 90s, were first noticed by Ukrainian militants.
As noted by " RG: Russian weapons ", these ATGMs are an upgraded version of the weapon, the development of which began 44 years ago. In 1985, serial production started.
The main feature of this system is an attack from above during the flight over the target, as a result, the defeat is carried out in the least protected part - in the roof.
The experience gained was already applied when creating NLAW, which were also massively supplied to the APU.
The maximum firing range of the BILL 2 is not particularly impressive, only 2200 meters. The minimum range for a stationary target is 150 meters If the tank is moving at a speed of 36 km / h, then the "dead zone" is already 300 meters, and at 54 km / h - 600 meters.
The weight of the rocket itself is 10.7 kg. The flight speed is 260 meters per second.
The total weight of the complex is almost fifty kilograms, and it is serviced by a crew of three people.
Interestingly, in Sweden, the RBS-56 was installed on lightly armored tracked MT-LB transporters, which were purchased in Germany.
Such ATGMs were exported to Austria, Brazil, Lithuania and Saudi Arabia. There was no data about any of their combat use before they were sent to Ukraine.
