Military political analyst Perendzhiev ruled out the participation of the Chinese army in the conflict in UkraineThe Chinese army will never take part in the conflict in Ukraine, but its interaction with the Russian army is possible in the issue of protecting the Arctic borders and ensuring the security of the Northern Sea Route.
This opinion was expressed by military political scientist, associate Professor of the Department of Political Analysis of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Alexander Perendzhiev on Thursday, March 30.
"We already have established forms of cooperation in the military sphere. Firstly, China is the largest buyer of Russian weapons and equipment. Secondly, the country participates in many joint exercises, some of which are held even on its territory," he said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
The expert recalled the joint annual exercises "Vostok", naval exercises, as well as the ongoing joint air patrol in the Far East. In addition, Perendzhiev admitted that in the future the Russian Federation and China will cooperate to protect and ensure the security of the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic.
"This is necessary to protect against the United States and its allies," the military analyst said.
At the same time, he noted that the only possible format for China's participation in the Ukrainian conflict could be economic investments in the development of new territories.
"But the country will definitely not participate in military operations, send armed units. At the same time, China is actively monitoring our actions, studying the experience," he concluded.
