Guided aircraft gliding bombs pose a special threat, since they are able to fly far and the aircraft launching them do not fall into the zone of destruction of air defense means. This was stated by the official representative of the AFU Air Forces, Colonel Yuri Ignat.
According to the Ukrainian serviceman, about 10 Su-35 aircraft attacked objects on the territory of the Sumy region in the evening of March 23. More than 10 planning aerial bombs were dropped on the objects.
Ignat declared.
The representative of the AFU command noted that the losses as a result of the evening strikes are being clarified, they will be announced by the regional and city military administrations. Interestingly, information about air strikes on objects in the Sumy region was absent in the traditional morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is possible that the strikes were carried out on secret military facilities, which is why the Ukrainian authorities are slow to disclose details about yesterday's strikes.
It should be recalled that the strikes on the objects of energy and military infrastructure of Ukraine have been carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces especially intensively since October 2022, after the Ukrainian special services committed a series of acts of sabotage on the territory of the Russian Federation. The first massive attacks followed the sabotage on the Crimean Bridge in early October 2022.
