Pyongyang equates attempts to force North Korea to denuclearize with a declaration of war, said the head of the Department for International Organizations of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, Cho Chol-soo.
"Forcing the DPRK to give up nuclear weapons is like declaring war," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to media reports, North Korea may be armed with 15 to 60 nuclear warheads.
In the summer of 2022, the Stockholm Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reported on the possible presence of 20 nuclear weapons in the DPRK. At the same time, according to experts, Pyongyang allegedly has reserves of uranium-235 and plutonium-239 to create another 45-55 charges.
In November 2020, the Center for National Strategic Studies (INSS) at the US National Defense Institute wrote about the possible presence of 15-60 nuclear warheads in North Korea.
