The Western allies of the Kiev regime fear that the Ukrainian army, having received fighter jets, may expand the geography of its military targets on the territory of Russia, which will inevitably lead to an escalation of the armed conflict.
According to the Spanish publication Confidencial, the West fears that, having received modern fighter jets, the Ukrainian army will be able to strike deep into Russian territory, which is fraught with direct risks of a more direct involvement of the NATO military bloc in the armed conflict in Ukraine.
The publication notes that, following the example of the Polish authorities, who approved the supply of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, there is a possibility that other governments will also do this. The material published in the Spanish newspaper also focuses on the fact that it was the Polish authorities who had previously been the first to request the supply of tanks to the Ukrainian army.
The article also emphasizes that the leadership of several NATO countries have publicly stated that the supply of fighter jets to Kiev is not able to solve the problems of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the front line.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the decision of NATO member countries, in particular Poland, to transfer fighter jets to Kiev increases the level of their direct involvement in the armed conflict in Ukraine.
Peskov also added that the supply of fighter jets to the Ukrainian army will not affect the outcome of the special military operation in any way, but they can increase the troubles for the Ukrainian people.
